One could argue that Chrissy Teigen shares everything on social media. When she’s not offering fiery political commentary, she’s likely tweeting about her search for brown bananas or detailing the most bizarre celebrity interactions. But the truth is, she does keep some things to herself.
Well, at least one thing.

Chrissy Teigen won’t share certain posts regarding her kids
The mom-of-two made this revelation in an interview with PopSugar in June 2019, telling the website that she’s extremely careful when it comes to deciding what to post about her 3-year-old daughter, Luna, and 1-year old son, Miles. “I don’t really post any things that the kids would be ashamed of or mad at me for posting,” she told the outlet.
Teigen said she made the decision after watching social media posts from her peers. “I see a lot of people posting their kids’ tantrums and having super-meltdowns. I don’t post that stuff just because that, to me, is like—I wouldn’t want someone to do that,” she explained. (Same, TBH.)
She continued, “You try to protect them, of course, but for the most part, aside from the kids, there is no limit.”
Chrissy Teigen’s social media posts have gone a long way
Some people have criticized Teigen for being so frank, but her stories have really changed lives.
“So many people come up to me about [my postpartum depression] story,” she said. “I love any of those encounters because usually, I’m just walking through the airport or on the plane or just out at lunch or something and people come up and they’ve read something that you wrote that was really personal, that’s always really wonderful.”
Chrissy Teigen has formed relationships, thanks to her social media activity
In addition to getting to hear about how her stories have changed lives, the cookbook author told PopSugar that she has formed multiple friendships as a result of her social media posts.
She told the website, “There are so many devoted fan pages to my kids, and that kind of stuff is just so sweet to me that they would take time. It [was Miles’s birthday], so I got so many collages and things — I didn’t necessarily remember these photos, but they put them together. They’re so beautiful. They’re so cute. And it sparks all these memories for me.”
“I really do have wonderful, wonderful fans. The ratio of it is incredible, and that’s what keeps me going on social media,” she continued. “I count them as actual friendships with them. Some people I’ve been talking to for like 10 years now online, so to me, that’s a bond; that’s a friendship. So it’s really cool.”
Chrissy Teigen has John Legend review her tweets
If you’ve seen her timeline, you know that Teigen’s tweets aren’t always sunny, which is why she has her husband, John Legend, check them out sometimes.
“She runs some tweets by me, but she never runs the ones when she’s talking about me by me,” he said of Teigen on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2019. “We’re next to each other on the couch and she’ll have this devilish look on her face like she’s conniving some kind of devious plan.”
“Then the tweet will go out,” he continued. “And I just look at her, like, ‘That’s funny.’”
LOL. Oh, Chrissy. Never change.
